Day 13 - In and around Victoria #1

We awoke to the sound of rain - the first of any significance here for many weeks - enhancing our reputation for being bearers of bad weather! But it soon brightened up, and after breakfast we headed off to Butchart Gardens, one of Victoria's biggest tourist attractions. It was fairly quiet when we arrived, but soon busloads of tourists arrived, which gave us less freedom to move around but we still got to see the majority of these spectacular gardens, built in an old cement quarry. Here are a sample

There aren't many trains on the Island - this old quarry train will have to do!

But there are lots of imported British buses.
